Indian marketplace seller onboarding & first-dispatch checklist

A practical preparation guide for new Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, Myntra and Snapdeal sellers: account information, catalogues, packaging, labels and test printing.

Prepare before your first order

Registration is only one part of becoming dispatch-ready. Keep your catalogue, stock records, packaging and printing workflow organised before you accept a large order volume. Requirements differ by marketplace, category and business status; confirm the current list in the official seller portal.

1. Use your own seller account and verified business details

Prepare the identity, business, bank, pickup and applicable tax information requested by the marketplace. The name and address used in your records should be consistent. Do not send bank or identity documents to a label-cropping website; LabelCut.in does not need them to crop a PDF.

2. Build an SKU system you can actually pack from

Give each sellable variant a stable SKU that identifies its style, colour and size. Keep a spreadsheet or inventory system mapping that SKU to the physical item. A colour label is not enough when a customer orders two sizes of the same style.

3. Set a small packing station

  • Keep product variants, packaging sizes and printer stock easy to identify.
  • Measure the packed parcel, not just the unwrapped garment.
  • Make room for an order check before sealing and another before dispatch handover.
  • Keep shipping labels, invoices and manifests associated with the correct order.

4. Export a small sample from your seller portal

Start with a few orders. Download the marketplace’s original shipping PDF and keep the original until dispatch is complete. Open the matching LabelCut.in tool and verify the full-page preview. On supported dynamic layouts, check both a short and long address.

5. Confirm the printing setup

Match the PDF output size to your physical label roll. Try 4 × 6 inch or 3 × 5 inch only if that is the stock loaded in your printer; custom dimensions are available. Check the printer’s Actual size setting and scan a sample barcode before running the full batch.

6. Reconcile your first dispatch

Compare the number of orders, units, labels and invoices. An order with two units still needs its quantities checked. Save the original PDF, exported output and handover records according to your own retention process. Use Start new job or Start new batch when moving to a different dispatch.
